At Welch School of Piano, students are instilled with a love for music from an early age. By providing each child with a quality classical education, we demonstrate that music can open the mind, energize the body, and free the spirit.
About the Teacher
Mrs. Amanda Welch has studied piano for over 20 years. She received her Bachelor's of Music Arts from Oral Roberts University in 2009. From the time she was a young child, music has been an essential part of her life. She has traveled with her family singing and playing the piano since she was a toddler. She has also been involved in many competitions and auditions featuring her skills as a pianist. While at Oral Roberts, Amanda found that her love for music met its full potential in sharing that gift with others. She has pursued this passion and has been teaching young children since 2006.
Amanda believes in the community of music educators and has served on the board of the Nashville Area Music Teachers Association and the Music and Arts Guild. She served as President of the Nashville Area Music Teachers Association from 2018-2020. She has also been active in the Tennessee Music Teachers Association, the Music Teachers National Association, and the National Federation of Music Clubs. In Spring 2016, she received the Outstanding Service Award from the Nashville Area Music Teachers Association. In addition, she has been named a Steinway Teacher of the Year for the past three years.
In the spring of 2020, Amanda and her husband moved back to their native Oklahoma. Amanda is looking forward to establishing another music studio there while spreading the joy of music!
